5Race Ramps are great!
By 1200bruce
I've used it on my new Mustang, my rather low Mazda 3 and my F-150 and the ramps are amazing I wish I had coughed up the $ for them along time ago!

5The way Rhino Ramps should be....works perfectly with my 2012 Prius "v"
By Happy Shopper
The clear the bottom of the front bumber of my 2012 prius "v" with an inch to spare.

Brute products has great service. They are a family company, and they answer the phone in person. I got the Rebate wheel chocks in about two weeks.

I would definitely buy them again, if I had to do it all over, again. These are individually cut from foam blocks and sprayed with a urethane coating that had bits of "gripy" runner on all of the surfaces.

After having a 10 year love-hate relationship with the Blitz original Rhino Ramps, I've had enough and discovered these Race Ramps.

These are what Rhino Ramps should be.

In one review of the Rhino Ramps, commenting readers chided one Rhino Ramp's review when the user stated that he ran over the top stops on them.

I ran over the top pof the Rhino Ramps, too. The end stops are too low. If the Rhino ramps did not slide under the wheels on my concrete driveway as they did, it would have been and easy climb to the top. I compensated for the sliding with more power to the accelerator. Consequently, the tire climbed over the end stop before I released the accelerator.

A chunk in each of the ramp's back stop were taken out by the pinch weld rails of the car's unibody in front of the rear tire. It was a chore jacking up the car to remove the damaged ramps. Years later, I am reminded of the tedious care that must be taken in using the Rhino Ramps.

Recently, Rhino has redesigned their ramps to make the lighter (to save the cost of materials, I guess) and to allow them to nest in storage. A few reviewers has stated that the 8000 units spread out with the weight of a car on them. The reviews stated that their 1200 units were better. Unfortunately, the back stops were not made higher. Apparently, Blitz decided it was not worth the extra cost in materials and shipping cost, as multiple units could not be nested and stacked, like I saw them on the floor at Walmart.

Even with the extra cost, I decided to order the Race Ramps from Amazon. I couldn't be happier. They are as light as the Rhinos. They don't slide, so you do not have to risk "gunning" the accelerator and risk driving over them. Then again, the back stops would prevent this happening, as they are at least twice as high as the back stops on the Rhinos.

I noticed that Race Ramps do not have the slight depression that the Rhino's have to keep the tires from rolling un the car up position. In use, I found the little depressions not necessary, although they may be slightly helpful.

I always thought foam was cheap, used for disposable packing material and broke apart easily. It's appears not so with the Race Ramps. I hope they last a long time.

5Better than Metal Ramps
By Blake
I don't trust metal ramps or jack stands. Call me paranoid. These things are solid (I've had two people stand on them and jump up and down and when the car was up on them I've jumped in the car and bounced around violently) and they don't budge a bit. I think it would be near impossible for them to collapse. They seem very well made (made in the US, which makes a change).

These ramps work great - I've got an '87 BMW 325i which is quite low to the ground and I'm a big guy but these gave me more than enough clearance to work comfortably under the car for a few hours.

The only con I can see is the price - far more expensive than standard metal ramps. However, I think the Race Ramps more than make up for this with their light weight. I can easily carry both on one arm and store them in a (admittedly large) cupboard on a high shelf. Also, what price do you put on safety?

Plus, they look cool.
